Review of Sakura Heavy Duty Single Seat Protector

With the Sakura Heavy Duty Single Seat Protector you can protect your front car seat, driver or passenger seat completely from liquids and dirt. Here we go through this product and review it to help you decide whether this is the best seat cover for you.

Description

Fit

Putting this Sakura car seat cover on your chosen front car seat, driver or passenger couldn’t be easier. This is a universal car seat cover but would suit smaller and medium sized seats. It fits over the top of the headrest of your car seat and around the edges of the seat bottom.

Technology

This seat cover states it is hard wearing but the nylon like material which it is made from is not the thickest. It looks and feels slightly thin but we are sure it should last quite a while as long as the seems hold.

It is water resistant and will take spillages but I would not trust it with a soaking wet dog or wearing a wetsuit which is wet.

Keeping Clean

This is not washable in a machine but will happily be wiped clean using a damp cloth. I would steer away from using specialist cleaning sprays just to make sure the material lasts longer.

Other Notes

Does what it’s meant to, slip it over your car seat and it will protect your car inside from dirt, dust, scuffs and liquids.

Pros & Cons

PROS:
  • Water resistant, so great for spillages
  • Easy to fit
  • Easy to clean, just wipe it down with a warm damp cloth
  • Very competitive price
CONS:
  • Not machine washable
  • Only water resistant rather than being fully waterproof
  • Known to tear at the seams
  • No warranty
  • Although it says it is universal, it will not fit bigger car seats

Conclusion & where to buy

Does just what it needs to do and nothing more. Really great price and will keep your car seats looking better for longer.
